Premières victoires
Varese a fait le communiqué suivant;
L’engagement de Franco Bertino pilote amateur au guidon de la petite 98cc. Cette moto incroyable pour 1947 gavée par un carbu à peine plus petit que son alésage fait le bruit d’un 2 temps de course d’aujourd’hui. «*There is always one who can proudly say he was the first. The first in space, the first publisher, the creator of the world's first movie... For MV Agusta, such a pioneer is undoubtedly Franco Bertoni — the first gold medalist and who brought attention to the MV Agusta factory in Cascina Costa. Franco Bertoni's debut as a race pilot took place in 1947 in the town of Carate Brianza. And even if it was an amateur race, which ended to be meaningless, he earned his first victory that day during the second race which took place in Arsago-Seprio. It’s not surprising that immediately after Bertoni received an offer from MV to start racing with model 98, which Bertoni won the first race in Como and then several other competitions later that year. The 1948 racing season between Bertoni and MV Agusta continued with a series of victories in Varese, Cremona, Vigevano, Sondrio and Pisa, and ended with a gold trophy in the 125 CC class at the Grand Prix des Nations in Faenza. After this triumph, Franco Bertoni remained to race for another three years, during which he managed not only to repeatedly climb to the top of the podium but also earn the Championship title of Italy in 1950 for the 125-CC class. 1945-2020. 75 years of history in shaping Motorcycle Art. MV Agusta celebrates this milestone sharing the most important moments of a heritage destined to be handed down by new products, improved services and customers all over the world. All of the 2020 products will also celebrate this important anniversary being the only ones to bring the special logo on the tank.*»
